i have a dell pc computer its a dimension 5150, bought in 2001, its not connecting to the internet because it requires an ethernet cable, my router is pretty far from my pc, so is ther anyway i can connect to my routher without an ethernet cable?

SO.. I took my desktop computer to the computer shop because it wasn't working properly, and they diagnosed the problem as the computer " not being clean" . I said thanks and took it home, and hosed the whole computer down with water to clean it. It doesn't work now that I have cleaned it, should I have used soap as well as water?

AMD AM3 FX 4100 Gigabyte 990fxa ud3 AM3 mobo.......... says it has the newest bios revision for bulldozer cpu's 8gb g.skill sniper ddr3 160080gb wd 7200rpm sata HD xfx 6850ocz zs650w power supply 80 bronze psu antec vsk2000 casesony dvd burner sata The problem is you power it on, it doesn't want to shut off if you hold the power button down checked front panel, its done right , the heatsink fan on teh cpu won't spin or just barely, and if i hit the dvd burner eject button it wont eject. And of course i get a black screen ...... hooked to working dvi lcd monitor Does anyone know what's causing this.i also should mention this is not my first build........4th this year. And every part except the hd is brand new out of the box today. Also i even unplugged the hd just to see if it would boot if it was the rpoblem.Video card fan spins everything else seems to have power fine.
My pc computer is making clicking noises?
its coming from the speakers and when i turn the volume down i cant hear it anymore. this only is happening while on internet explorer. it sounds like its having a spazz attack or something. its the same noise as when you press the back button on the internet. its beeen doing it for the past 2 days. ive shut it down, restarted and nothing is helping. when i let my mouse sit still it stops for about 5 seconds and then slowly begings to click really fast again. how do i stop this?
Is there any application like self control for a mac for a pc computer?
my friend showed me the self control app on her mac that blocks a certain list of websites and programs you want for a certain period of time and it seems like one of the best things and i've been looking for one for a pc but cant find anything. i procrastinate so much and i have so much work to finish so it would be great if i can find a program resembling that.

my father's computer is old and it overheats. When I try to uninstall programs, it turns off. I want to uninstall everything and hopefully that will get rid of any spyware or viruses he has. Any program that takes less energy to uninstall stuff on your C drive?

i wonder what these things with pc power supplies mean. if it says that i need an 400 watt power supply to my graphic card, does i have to count the other components to, like 400 w for Graphics and 95 for processor do i need a 500 watt power supply

I just got the Iphone 4 a few weeks ago and i wanted to put all my pictures in one file so incase i had to get a new iphone i could just sync them back onto the iphone but i had them all in different files and i wanted to put them all in one so i accidently deleted all the files and my phone wont re download them onto the computer it says no new pictures and i was wondering how could i get the pictures back?
