How do i increase the max memory on my laptop computer?
i have an acer aspire one d255e netbook and after a scan it said i have a max memory of 2 GB. i currently have 1 GB installed so i plan on purchasing a memory card of 2 GB from crucial . com to compensate.but how do i increase the max GB on my lap top to about say 5 to 10 GB ???.

How can I restore my Alienware laptop computer?
My mx17 R3 was starting to get buggy and slow so I just jumped right in giving it a clean restore from the included Windows 7 disk. I did now know that this would now allow me to reinstall all of the features and programs that came out of the box with alienware. Is there a way that I can somehow still restore to " out of the box" even though i no longer have AlienRespawn? The only formatted partition is the large C drive. The recovery and OEM partitions are untouched.Dell says they can fix the problem remotely for $129, which makes me think that if they can do it remotely shouldn't I be able to do it without them controlling my computer?Thanks for any advice
My laptop computer won't start and says "insert bootable disc." Why won't it start?
I got a insert bootable disc error and when to the setup utility and it says HDD SDD None. I was using the computer and it was working fine then I got a blue screen error and then it wouldn't start up now it says there is no HDD SDD on it.Would getting a recovery disc even work if there is no hard drive?

I'm looking to purchase a Laptop, but don't know what brand to get. Dell, Acer, Toshiba, etc, or doesn't it matter. Idk I would like a something in 17in screen. Price range 500 1000 is alright. mainly for watching movies, surf web, etc. What to best way to buy laptop in store like office max, or online. I once bought a laptop at Wal Mart. It was a Dell Inspiron. Only less than a year of owning it the hard drive quit out on me, and I had to have it replaced. Not much later, the replacement hard drive quit on me also I was told by my cousin not to buy a computer from Wal Mart again. The only other place near where I live is Best Buy.
