How to add another line to my computer network?
This is going to sound strange, but I have a townhouse, and running wired through my walls isn't an option. Instead, I have a router in my living room hooked up to my modem. Now, I have a wire running up my staircase concealed nicely and it hooks up to my PC upstairs. I need another wire or two upstairs. I don't need a repeater for my wifi signal, I just need a hub of some kind in my office. I would like to know what I can do the less expensive the better to take my one cable upstairs and turn it into as many as I need 3 the most . Thank you for any help you can give me. Oh, and I have one more question, how would I go about deleting my wifi network's " guest" connection? It has a password, thank Crom, but I don't need a second connection. Again, thank you

Im doing an IT apprenticeship at a college, and just wanted abit more understanding of the network here to impress my boss. here are my questions Anyone can log onto any computer in the college. does that mean all usernames and passwords are stored on a server in the college on the log on screen of STAFF computers, u have a box for the last person that logged on click the to put password in for that staff and one that says Other User. BUT the comps for students in classrooms on the log on screen have just two input boxes for username and password. is this a setting that is configured for each computer on the network? Are every user's documents etc. stored on a server in college? because if i log onto any computer i can get my documents Thanks for any help
