I need a crash course In basic computer hardware tech?
Hey everyone, I have been thinking about buying a new computer and my friend suggested I build one because they are usually cheaper and would be customized to fit my specific needs better. The problem is, all these letters and numbers and names of the different parts and pieces are like a foreign language to me...The computer would be mainly for gaming, nothing really special though, I don't need super hd super detailed graphics, I'd just like pretty good graphics and a solid fps... I have around 400 600 bucks to spend and I was wondering if someone could help me out by listing some good brands and types of equipment for a graphics card, a processor, etc. And maybe explain to me the basics of what to look for to build the best pc for my price range. Hello, I have laptop Lenovo ideapad Z580 If that means anything It's pretty good, 8gb RAM, 1gb graphics card, however I feel like the i3 processor is dampening it's true power. I would like to upgrade it I use it for games, and it can sometimes be a little disappointing to an i5 processor.This is a big leap, and they cost a fair bit, so I don't want to make any foolish mistakes.Is there a certain type I would need?What are the risks?Is it actually worth it? What else would you recommend? A trustworthy place to buy it Or any alternatives to boosting game performanceI'm asking the internet because I generally know nothing about computer hardware.Well, thanks I guess..
My copy of Saints Row 3 for PC is running horrifically slow and I know jack shit about computer hardware.?
It was cheaper to buy the game than a new 360. Reasons aside, why in the blue hell is it running so slow? how can a non tech non genius like me solve the problem without having to devote another 5 hours and 108 gigs of deleted videos to solving the problem? As an aside, why are PC games not plug and play anymore? Please help with some intelligence, not any nonsense please, this is my only diversion while I am working " on the road" .

What is an LSI device? What are Integrated Circuits? I'm learning computer hardware and specifically our curriculum contains 8085 microprocessor and writing programs in Assembly Language and stuff. I've never understood a word the teacher taught, but I have to pass this subject. Is there any website to help me with this? Wikipedia hasn't helped a bit because I don't understand half of what it comes up with I'm freaking out over this I need something or someone that can explain this stuff in simple language. Might be too much to ask, but Answers is a tiny ray of hope left for me...... Please help if possible. If not, don't leave messages like " you're one your own" , etc, just don't answer.

Hi, I am going to build a desktop for my sister. I have never built a computer from scratch, but I have changed almost everything in my current once a Dell desktop, set up a computer for our tv improving a second hand computer that ran Linux , as well as helped a friend with adding some RAM. In short, I am a beginner, but I feel rather sure at what I'm doing. She has a budget of 900 dollars a Christmas present from our dad , and I wanted to maximize the horse power for that price. Is there anyway I can improve the sound quality of my vocals with my cheap computer hardware?
Is it just because I have cheap equipment and can't afford any expensive recording equipment for hip hop vocals. I have Insignia subwoofer and two speakers, and a basic studio microphone built into a headset, which was like 50 dollars. The speaker set was about 80 to 90 dollars I got awhile back. I am running Windows 7, intel pentium processor E5700, 1TB hard drive, with 6GB of memory. Every time I try to record myself rapping the out put is very statiky and distorted. I use Audicity software. How do I make it sound perfect quality, where it actually sounds like I'm in a studio. I go to record at a local studio in town and the production sounds excellent, but I just don't have money, and have pages and pages of lyrics written with beats. Audacity isn't cutting it. I even have the M Audio usb vocal microphone that came with pro tools software. But, even that mic doesn't sound good on this computer, there is a delay between it and my windows 7 computer, and pro tools, I don't know how to use. Any way I can improve my hardware for recording or tips on how to make my vocals sound really clear on my computer?
